Phenomenal entry level upgrade. Only about 30 FPS difference, but the accuracy is double that of a stock barrel. A++ upgrade

How would a tightbore increase fps? I would imagine it would actually decrease it by a few.. I don't think 30 fps would be it, if any.

Increases FPS because it reduces the amount of air that passes around the bb while shot.  More air behind the bb, faster it'll go.  But it will not add 30fps, it'll add about 8-12 depending on the gun.  In some cases, maybe a little bit more, but average is around what I said.

Dave, I have heard alot of mixed reviews about 6.03's. You are one that says they jam, and i have talked to people who say their gun jams less now. And the highly qualified person who told me the reason for the jamming is....basicly the hopup unit and how its secured..

I have a 6.03 and I never had a jam, knock on wood.  But I also shoot 90% of the time in semi-auto.  So take it as it is.

My AK was shooting 395 on average. Then I put a tightbore on it FPS was all over the place 410 415 425, It was shooting to hot, and that Prometheus barrel made my accuracy even worse. So then I took it out, I think when it comes down to it if your happy with your Accuracy leave it alown. If it aint broke dont fix it.

I installed a KM 6.04mm in my ICS M4. With the stock gear box, it definitly increased the accuracy and noticably the FPS. I cannot tell you exactly how much of a gain. But what I can say is I gained more range (distance). At least a good 15-20ft.

I have a 6.03 prometheus in my SR16 and I have never had a single jam (even on full auto bursts).  Keep it running w/ quality BBs and you shouldnt have a problem.  I noticed a minor increase in FPS and a major increase in accuracy.  Sounts like Ice's barrel was installed wrong. Rick

Funny thing is that some guns may respond differently. If it was installed wrong thats AEX fault. At the time it was installed they were putting a metal body on and fixing a gear problem.

AEX doens't always do the best work, let me tell you. The best way to make sure is to do it yourself, and then try to fix it, keep workin until it works. It was probably not sitting correctly or was loose in the hop.

I have a Systema 6.04mm brass tightbore, and it increased accuracy and added 10-12 fps when using an M120 and full cylinder.

I think the increase is a percentage thing, rather than a fixed number.

I have experiened no jamming at all with my 6.03 barrel and i have a FAMAS which becuase of the high rate of fire i usually use full auto, I just clean my barrel after every game to make sure its perfect so no bb's will jam. I noticed an 8-10 fps increase and an increase in distance of about 20 to maybe 30 feet depending on wind conditions. The most significant difference is probably the accuracy.
