AEG Recomendation

hey guys i am going to buy a new aeg this week and was wondering what style of m4 i should get i like CA and ICS because they are pre upgraded full metal if you have any recomendations please tell me thank you.

For what it's worth I did a lot of research on this recently and purchased a CA M15a4. I have had it out to a few games and am very happy with my purchase.

[-o< Confucius say "One must take the road less Traveled, in order to Achieve greater rewards." So why another M16 Variant? Granted you should get what you like, and those guns are just fine, and dandy. But there is a gun that stands out all on its own its called the marui AK-47. Version three gearbox will not break under power up grades. Granted this gun its not all metal like the two metioned. One such as myself is eager to see the Full metal Classic army AK soon to be released. But back to the M16 Variants each of these is a hit or miss on the quality. However, the ICS has a two pice gear box so when upgrading all you have to do is drop the spring in, and there you go. You can buy another top have, and you can switch from power back to stock for the CQB games. I dont own one of these guns but then again I never will. Classic army I own, and its a rock solid gun. Not much to complain about except my is a older serial number so its  mag catch is picky, and I hate CA mags. I use marui only.

Hey,
I am in no way an expert but I figured my oppinion might be helpful. I've done a bit of research on the aeg's because i just purchased one myself. I went with the ICS. My decision had a lot to do with the organization of the upper and lower gearboxes. The upper is designed to be interchangable (a major point for me because later on i plan to upgrade and keep a stock one for indoor). Another selling point for me was the forward assist. I like the idea of perserving my spring and piston, so it was a real plus. The ICS m4 is also designed by a reputable company. I did a little research on Olympic Arms, and they have been one of the leading companies in m4 research and design.
It is a rock solid gun. Very accurate once you adjust the hop-up and zero the sights.
one problem i hear they have is an extremely weak motor.. now mine is still stock, so im not having problems but that is one thing to consider

IMO the ICS m4 is the way to go

With regard to What IcePlat said, yeah the TM AK47 was on my list of potential guns, but honestly, if I were you and wanted an AK series gun I would definitely wait for the ICS or CA guns. The TM gearbox is very good but the cost of upgrading the guns furniture or upgrading to a metal body is beyond rediculous. (you can literraly buy two real russian made AK47s for the cost of a TM gun, replacement furniture and a metal receiver for it)  I have only been playing a few months and I am already thinking about a second AEG, and will be taking a long hard look at the ICS and CA AK74s

Agreed.... Cant say how much I have put into my Ak, But I am sure its over a grand. Prime metal body, G&P metal upper, close to $300 on internals, Guarder wood kit, Slant muzzle break, Ribbed upper reciver, and a rear steel sight on the way. $$$$ Of course if you were to add all the upgrades or Accessories to your M16 varients such as your lazers and nade launchers I sure it would be close.

I like the ICS M4, but those two points are kinda weak. The forward assist is cool, but will probably stop working before long. My dad's doesn't do anything anymore if you hit the forward assist. I think it's the little tab inside the upper that hits the anti-reversal latch...

Olympic Arms doesn't have anything to do with any airsoft guns. They have a licensing deal with ICS, that's all. Same goes for Armalite and CA.

I was looking at the ICS M4 and planning on buying it but I did some research and found out for another $400 I can buy a real one, so thats the route Im gonna take for now. hopefully some one will decide to sell their ICS after they played with it and then Ill pick up a used one.

More importantly where are you going to skirmish at?  You can't attend AA games, I wouldn't want to skirish with or against 13yr olds....

for one i can attend satac games on june 20th for 2 i have friends and for three why wouldnt you want to skrimish with a 13/14 year old?
