Hmmm I don't register the real guns I buy, bought some at the gun show.... nope didn't register them.  

Kind of funny a 15yr old talking about registering real guns and airsoft guns, when you aren't legally able to buy either.

Every law on the book is a punisment because of someones stupidity....

The Second Rule of Jurisprudence states that "No law or regulation has ever been enacted to prevent someone from doing something that has not already been done somewhere."  Simply put any weird law (tying your alligator to a parking meter, Walking backwards in the middle of a traffic lane, etc) was passed because some dumb s**t did it and got themselves or someone else hurt....

Notwithstanding, they really did a knee-jerk response to a minor issue, but for some reason I'm not at all surprised at that. :cry:

It'll probably be one of those laws that no one enforces. When it reaches it's expiration date city council will probably just toss it in the garbage.

ok let me get this striaght, now please nobody go bashin on me for askin questions.  OK so as long as we are transporting our "Airsoft guns" they have to be in a gun case right?  That law as been around for sometime now, i was told by an officer that as long as i was on my property i am allowed to shoot my AEG as long as i didnt shot any neighbors or any of there possesions.  And who ever pulled that stupid move that you are all talking about is really stupid.  Hey and who ever said the Airsoft guns dont pass as a fire arm i beg to differ.  Airsoft companies consider them fire arms, at least thats what i have been told. Thats why you have to be 18 in order to legally buy them.  Even the officer told me it was considered a fire arm. but yea, i thought i might say somthing, just cause everyone else was, well later

Chandler police showed up on my door because a friend of my son was shooting a soft-air gun from my son's car.

I have to say, I hope this guys kid is not tossed in jail. HOWEVER, shooting an Airsoft gun from a car is totally inexcusable.
I have to wonder how old this kid was, and why he had an airgun in the first place. It's obvious he is not mature enough to know what to do and not do with one.

As for Chandler's Ban--Totalitarism isnt too far away is it?
The ban outlaw everything including Slingshots!!! Well so much for my childhood memories huh? Bow and Arrows too? I wonder if an Native Americans will be upset that thier heritage isnt allowed to be displayed?

No, it isn't lame. Replica weapons should carry the same penalties with illegal use as real ones..

busta has apoint, But I do believe that jailtime is a little overbored. Its kinda messed up, no damages, parents took action now the court is like blowing it outta proportion. The other day, me and my friends were playing paint ball, a cop stopped us and lectured us on a law just like this one, so we had to leave city lines to play. and even then highway patrol was watching, i mean come on!
