I'm not trying to get him to give in to anything.  Heck, if that is what he likes, I think he should go with it.  I look forward to actually getting a better look at it at LC.  The receiver color is actually rather minor.  Looks like he put   together a nice little setup.

Busta, WC also makes colored recievers.  I forgot about them, and I'm sure there are many other companies that do so.

M-Dog, does anyone make a replica clubfoot in OD?  That would be nice.  Since you're going for the colored-but-not-because-of-paint look, the colored stock would look great!  

And yes, it will look MUCH better with a constant-diameter barrel.  That is a definite non-military looking rifle, so the barrel seems a bit out of place.  Take some pics with the small front section installed, bro!

The only company that I know that makes a replica clubfoot stock is STAR, and only in black.  I would have just gotten a real one but I wanted to run the battery in the stock.  I am semi-tempted to paint this stock OD, but once the paint starts to chip and scratch away it won't look the same anymore.

I would take some pics with the shorty attachment, but I have got the M4 length inner barrel in her.  And I just don't feel like taking here apart again to remove the inner barrel for a pic.  I will photoshop something up so you can see.

All I did was shorten the barrel (Inner and outer).  For the pic I just threw on a M4 stock for a quick shot.
