With just a spring, it will put you at 370-380. I had it in my old classic army M15A4 rifle, and it shot great.

Good looking rifle, I must say, but don't forget: the gun doesn't make the player.

I have no idea why that would fire at that velocity.  With the same internals, I was at 380.  I think your experience was the exception rather than the rule.  

Far, DEFINTELY put a silent head set in your AEG.  I have one, and recommend it to anyone.  To upgrade an AEG, I recommend metal bushings, new spring (which you have both), and a silent head set.  In addition to greater gearbox durability, it has a bearing, which allows the spring to twist freely.  Some argue that this adds fps, but I simply did it to alleviate stress on my piston.  

While we're on the subject, I also recommend the following:
-bearing spring guide
-air seal nozzle
-teflon full cylinder (greater air volume than a ported M4 cylinder)
-Helical gears (I have super torque-ups, but any will do, depending on spring and battery used).  These gears are damn near indestructable - Over 25,000 rounds fired with these gears, and no signs of wear!

Ill look into some of those upgrades. But for now, I have more than enough money into this gun. And I just got a readymag for it too.

Didn't you also change your inner barrel andy?  And I don't think that spring is a 170%, remember the issues we had with the battery?  I think it's more like a 180%.

That was before the inner barrel John, It might just be a fluke, maybe they stuck a 190 in there. Who knows, all I know is that M4 hits HARD!

It's not uncommon to get a mis-packaged spring.  Seen that happen many times.  So did you tear the gun apart again or did the battery do the trick like I said?

There was major shimming issues, right now a bevel gear is broken and SOMEONE stripped out the cut off lever screw so it doesnt sit right(fucking up the semi and full auto functions).

Sorry to hear that, but that's what happens when you let too many people get their "unexperienced" hands into it.  I take it that it did work though with the new battery until you broke the gear tooth?

If it's just the screw, can't you replace it with one from the hardware store?

Who jacked it up?  Not only can inexperienced people mess up your box, but so can experienced people that are in a hurry.  I have seen as many guns messed up by shoddy maintenance from knowledgeable guys as I have from dudes who don't know a tappet plate from a selector plate.

OK then.  I did tell you that I had shimmed it very loose when I gave it back to the 2ND time I worked on it for FREE (after getting it in pieces in a box each time) didn't I?  You should be experienced enough by now to know when your gear box doesn't sound right and not shoot the crap out of it and strip the gears.  

As far as the screw goes, hit Ace hardware, they have a great selection of screws to choose from.
