I guess that question would be....do Airsoft players get sh*t for playing on BLM land?

No.

What about the old road to Wickenburg/Morristown?  Tons of hilly vegetated terrain back there with canyons etc...you get there by going to Lake Pleasant and taking the Castle Hot Springs Road,  heck the antebellum mansion/resort is -still- nestled back in the middle of nowhere 29miles down the road,   the full length of the road is passable by non 4x4 trafic but is a dirt road.  I must say turning a cornr to see an old landmark resort from the 1920's still fully intact and upkept by a few token groundskeepers is pretty neat to find out in the middle of nowhere, but that is a small taste of the sweet terrain areas to be found in the large areas in that direction.

Hi all
I have a question, what about anywhere around the Phoenix outskirts, isnt there a place around Phoenix I look around and see nothing but Mountains, isnt there someplace, like old dried out washes or land that is open for use that we could do some skirmishing outside of Phoenix???

There's all kinds of places outside the Valley to ply.. Problem is, do players want to spend the gas $$$ to get there?

It's hard to justify putting out $40.00+ to attend when you're making minimum wage.

Costs $40 bucks to go all the way to MT and back, so unless people roll in Peterbilts now, it's not SO bad. My door to Prescott and back is 3/4 of a tank, and I drive a six cylinder Jeep with an unqualified recklessness, so, you mileage may and almost assuredly does vary.

Not sure what the others are refering too?  We play in Prescott, and 4 peaks all the time.  Your question is why not just outside the valley?  There are a very few places that some play at.  But the main reason I see that most do not play near civilization is to not cause alarm.  Granted when we play somewhere in the National forests, we notify the local authorities. But if in near the population I think you would be more likely to run into more people than usual and its hard to stop a game every 15mins when someone enters the AO.  Also I think it is the type of land you would be playing on. Who owns it, city, state, private and getting permission.  Then thirdly is the AO worth going to, meaning is the terrain suitable for good scenerios?  I've found that finding new AO's can be time consuming but if you want, go for it and do some research with the proper authorities.

I had looked into some CQB places and before I could even start, I found that they had abestos!  Also, I had found a few places that were near apache Jt. but paintballers met there regularly.
