Is this still going on at all??

Yeah, but its on hiatus.  There are several other things taking up time right now.  Coldburn II/Irene/etc

It will happen, though.

Ok, now lets have some comments on these 2.

I came up with 2 slightly different designs, I made one tan and one green, just to show what they would look like in each color.

tell me what you think

naturally anything to the slightest modification in one part of one of the guns handles can easily be changed, so give me any and all feedback.

The guns might just be a no-go..

The ones posted earlier in the thread are good enough for me.

Leave it up to the mods to find the design  ;)

I don't like either one of those, to be honest.

The detail of the rifles would be very hard to re-create as well.

We're looking for something new here, not a modified version of the old patches.  Keep coming up with stuff, and post it here.  Nothing is certain yet.

What exactly are you looking for? Anything in particular? The Arizona flag? An image with the flag? What about definate no-nos?

Here's something I did real quick, just messing around in paint:

I like these but I would simply remove the guns. I think they would be fine without. I didn't see the old patches so I don't have anything to compare with.

Ever consider doing them as Tabs like SF and ranger tabs? Just a thought, they used to have inverted tabs as well that went under unit patches that had the names of campeigns and such, maybe something like that.

Jeff, remove the guns from that image and you have the old patches.  We are looking for something kinda the same, but also new.  We want the old patches to retain their own uniqueness and look.  Kinda like those that have them got them "back in the day" thing.

What about the 82nd AB patches?  They have a great big bloody 'AA' on them....  Not very original, to be sure, but cool.

I'm not meaning to sound like a prick, but it would be very offensive to me and many other former members of the Duece (82nd Abn for those legs out there) to use our patch. I know it wouldn't happen, I'm just saying is all.... now I go away....

I totally agree, To use thier patch, even with a change would be disrespectful!! Lets just stick with the original Idea and move on to the ordering steps, Just my Humble opinion.

Hm. You guys raise good points.  Okay, no to the 82nd patch.  Hope I didn't offend anybody, just saw the 'AA' and thought, 'hey, Airsoft Arizona.'

I'm a newbie, but I would definitely buy one of the patches.  I think that a patch would make the uniform look more "realistic", but I wouldn't feel right wearing a real unit's patch.

I remember when I played similar games years ago, and was part of the first unit in our group.  Of course, being #1, the official patch was the "Big Red One".  Even as a teenager I thought it was somehow wrong to wear a patch that so many people had worked hard to earn and worn to their death - it seemed almost like an insult to them to wear the same thing while just running through the woods shooting little plastic bullets at my friends.

So, yes, I would like to have an official "Airsfot Arizona" patch that I could wear with pride - the alternative for me is an empty shoulder.
