I am only going to say one thing then I am not reading this thread any more.

It is very clear from the posts, who has had schooling in (or has a firm grasp on) logic and who has not. Anyone versed in logic will avoid the use of absolutes in their argument because they know it negates them completely. Those with the gift are annoyed because they understand that they only have to provide one example in order to negate an absolute position, and continue to do so, without having the other person(s) realize they have been smited.

O.K. I missed the indication that this was a critical thinking discussion? I'll have to lose my sense of humor then. Only a person who spends to much time analyzing life through inductive reasoning would make such a false conclusion. Those who are too critical are socially inept and can't see pass the smoke (rhetorically speaking); therefore, become too conclusive in their assessment...their "right brain dead."

Two topics to stay clear of on this forum politics and religion...When you argue with an idiot online, people have a hard time deciphering  who the idiot really is!

Can't believe that at 20 years old you're suffering from generalized anxiety disorder...don't like the thread, don't read the posts...chill, take it for what its worth.

I don't think what I posted sounded much like someone with GAD, but whatever. I'm actually pretty laid back. I'm just tired of 50% of the active topics on AA these days being flamewars.

I agree.  But we all know that a few people like to stir the pot, so I just ignore most of their posts.  I know its hard because they post so much all the time, but it has worked for me.

I'll be the first to admit I do it without thinking, trying to cut back tho but it's a hard habit to break.

Maybe I should take up smoking instead, heh.

I say we handle are political debates from now on like are forefathers did. We have an Airsoft duel!!!! [smilie=armata_pdt_35.gif]

Ahh I don't know about that, Busta is pretty quick off the draw....., I've seen him in action at a couple pistol duels (the last in Florence)
And I hit what I am aiming for, right Nate? ;)

Bullcrap! What was it, andy.. you said, it doesn't end till one of us gets pegged in the.. lower region. I got him there like 4 times, before he even touched me, but.. nooo.. only a select few saw, so I didn't win!

WHATEVER, MAN!

(I don't wanna get into this topic, it's gay.. just having fun)

True, you did shoot Busta in the nutz 5+ times, for some reason he didn't feel it....

I kept my stance wide, that way my pants were toight like a toiger...The other time we had those duels I got him in the zipper from about 50ft...Fun stuff.

Well arguing on the internet is pointless..you should all know that by now, and it means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

I've been on the Libertarian's website for the past hour.  Very interesting stuff.  A lot of good views, all have been + in my opinion.
