RIS for M733 Commando
« on: June 12, 2005, 05:40:15 PM »
I have been looking into getting an M733. I want to make it a CQB type weapon, so I'll need an RIS. I can't find anything about it anywhere, and I was wondering if any of you guys might know where to find one. I know Paul D Wog has one.

Should be the same one that you put on an M4. You dont need a ris for a cqb gun, though.

I know I don't NEED it, but I would like to get a PAQ-2 laser and be able to mount a flashlight on it. Besides, RIS's just look damn cool in general :P.

Ok.. So you want one...  ;)
I'm 99% sure that an m4 rail will work for you though.

Dont get a ris, get a free floating RAS, and its a AN/PEQ not a PAQ 2

Here:

This is the best and most secure, and coolest looking(also the least expensive): http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.ph ... sion%20Kit

Not as cool, not as secure, and way more money:

You could just wait a couple of weeks until wgcshop or other retailers get there shipments of CA M4 CQBR's in stock.

I tried mounting a TM M4 RIS unit on an M733, and while it did fit, the mounting brackets did not fit on the M733 barrel, so it wobbled around a bit.

Yeah...and for like, 5$ more you could just stick the G&P free floating on there....and it wouldnt matter.

Can you provide evidence as to which is more secure and why? Cool is a matter of opinion, I think the RAS is uncool, compared to the RIS.

Oh, and you are wrong about the "PAQ 2" thing. He was referring to the actual laser unit, not the battery boxes. He just calls it a PAQ, instead of AN/PAQ.

O , The g&p PAQ-4. Well, it screws onto where the delta ring would slip on so instead of being clamped between two outer rings the RIS is actually screwed on, less parts, more secure. Solid as a rock.

Shane, check out arniesairsoft.co.uk  they just had a little review of the new CQBR.  there is alot of new improvements on the gun, including the RIS actualy lining up with the top reciever.  You can find it on the front page of the site.

After reading all the details... If you actually want this to be a cqb gun, you'll have to downgrade the spring. It's supposed to shoot 330 stock.
