Not that I've seen.  Someone tried to do something like that in Dark Harvest and he just ended up getting cut down at the knees.

What about MilPolice sim? :P

Yeah, at Dark harvest, they used scrap metal with holes in it.  Didn't work too well.

Seems like a shield would be cumbersome, and take away the use of one hand, as well as effect balance.
Otherwise, ..Playin' army, playin' Cops n' Robbers, all the same to me.

There are very rarely CQB events, if there are, there is usually just one room or so.

CQB missions don't happen too much in the military unless your a door kicker or part of an extraction force. It's more or less street fighting than in the buildings, but there is plenty of shootin n scootin' in the open areas too. CQB is fun but it gets boring after a while. You will always be anticipating entry if you are defending so all you have to do is sit on a doorway and wait..

I cant see it being effective at all.  A quick spray with an AEG will hit any exposed body parts with out any effort at all.  I invite anyone to try, and then after the 1st round, see how it works out.

Before most of the people on heres time...at the Cajun house I belive it was the first CQB event for AA, and they had a clear plastic shield, but whoever was holding it just got cut down at the feet and what not.

Although most of our cqb-ish stuff is more like police than mil. Military type cqb wouldn't be much fun for us... Toss grenade in room, stroll in to clean up mess...

Aye, or call in an air strike.

My design is a 4x6 sheet of plywood with handholds and a plexiglass window (Just kidding, heh)

Try telling that to our boys in Iraq.  They have to do a lot of building work in Baghdad and other towns all across Iraq.

I was reading that a lot of the time they like to make 'mouse holes' using C4 on the side of a building because of booby traps.
