Power of Propane
« on: July 07, 2005, 12:01:26 PM »
Alrighty guys, I've been looking to purchase this adapter for a few months now. Finally, I've ordered it. It should be here around Friday.
My question to all of you is which brand of propane will give GBBs/NBBs the most power and range. I'm guessing Benz-O-Matic because that brand of propane is aimed more towards the industrial field. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Brian

I think Shaun Bolger uses Propane in his GBB, he knows a lot about them and could probably help you out.

I use it.  There isnt that much difference, Propane is Propane.  The el cheapo $1.88 green cans from walmart work great.  Just keep your guns lubed up.

Whether propane is ok for guns or not...It just lacks the power like GG that I get from black gas.. DUnno what it is..but I guess PP and GG just don't cut it, for me atleast.

I know to keep my gun lubed. I do that after every game. thanks though.
Anyways, I know propane is propane, but others are nicer, more compressed, or even more pure. All of those variables depends upon the gun's performance.
BTW Busta, what the heck is Black Gas??? I have never ever heard of that in my entire airsofting carrer.

Black Gas is brewed by the devil himself in the jungles of Cambodia.

"Color names" for gases have always seemed stupid in my opinion.

I've said this before Busta...3 years. That's a pretty long time for filling your head with knowledge.

I've been using propane for almost a year I guess.  No problems.  Just add silicon oil, and your fine.  It essentially becomes green gas.

Ha! I never even noticed that Vince. How stupid of me.

Anyways, I figured you would know Busta because I told you the same answer a while back. BTW, your only sixteen...not even a year older so don't go criticizing.

I don't play airsoft (sarcasm). Of course I play, just not with AA which is as obvious as it gets.

'Burnt sienna' gas gives the appropriate pressure for my needs.  It's like a mix of red gas and brown gas.
