I need to bring this topic back to life for a breif moment.

Recently Ive been looking for an area that has lots of green foliage to perhaps host a vietnam-themed OP. Ive found a couple of places that might work, and if things work out I may be hosting an op there sometime in the near future. There would be no weapons or equipment requirements, just to be in attendance with either Green or tan ( or maybe just two green teams to make it more interesting). I would like to know if anyone/team would be willing to help me out with the organization and who would be willing to attend such an op. It is not the style or looks of the player that make it like vietnam, its mostly having to tredge your way through the greenery while having to fight the enemy. Any input wold be greatly appreciated.

Good news: I have 2 m1 carbine's (6mm)

Bad news: One I will use for parts, the other is more.. modern..  Its going to be a scout rifle.. (suppressor, maybe a eotech sight, custom butt plate, threaded outer barrel, rail instead of handguard, etc) and its gonna be about 450 fps, but its bolt action. And I have NO WWII gear.. I dont have much gear at all, dont need much gear to snipe.

But it does sound kinda fun..

Its the thought that counts! :)

Hell, before I had my uinform, I would just be running around in tennis shoes, and a camo jacket with my thompson SMG. Id bet it would be good enough if you just slapped on a m2 helmet liner and called it your WWII gear.

Im hoping that this vietnam based OP is going to turn out well. Because even if not so many people have gear or weapons from the vietnam type of setup, the modern stuff still looks similar enough to be incorporated. Besides, its not realism in appearance that matters, its the realism of the battle itself.

Oh, by the way. Where did you find those m1 carbines? Ive been looking for the 6mm version for a while, but I could never find one. Marushin is coming out with a blowback version pretty soon. Id love to have one of those too.

You should bring your "military vehichle" too, Grenadier. That would add some realism.

It really does!
It was a great hit at OP Dark harvest, and everyone who could get a ride in it enjoyed every minute of it. We didnt use it in any games, but it was a grea wat to transport people to and from starting ponts. I also brought it to the game at missle tank, but we didnt get to use it.
