Anyone believe this?
« on: July 11, 2005, 11:45:16 AM »
Four "dangerous enemy combatants" have escaped from the main US base in Afghanistan, the US military has said.

Apperently these 4 Arab men with short hair, long beards, and dressed in yellow prison garb, managed to not only escape the cells, but also walk past several checkpoints from deep within the center of Bagram Air base........past guards, etc...........

I personally find this hard to believe. Our our armed forces this inept?
Dangerous--wouldnt that mean tight security?
Personally this sounds a  lot like some sort of prisoner exchange......

Oh, we sorta lost them........Ya sure!

This entire Iraq business is now a JOKE!

Have you heard about the secret planning to remove troops by the Brits?
Supposedly, they will begin pulling out as many as half the force within 3 months and nearly all by 56 months, with the USA doing the same thing..supposedly

I trust news agencies today about as far as I could throw thier web servers.  They are just as politically motivated as the government... and yet with even less accountability.

As far as America & Brittan pulling out of Iraq--read this....

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20050711/D8B9ECKG0.html

"Michael O'Hanlon, a defense specialist at the Brookings Institution think tank, said the training of Iraqi forces has progressed to the point when they will be capable of taking on a greater part of the responsibility.

"If you think in terms of simple tasks and hard tasks, and tougher and easier parts of the country, I think you can see a much greater role for the Iraqis starting next year, even if they also will have a long ways to go then," he said.
O'Hanlon said he is hopeful that the 135,000-strong U.S. force could be cut by as much as 50 percent by mid-2006."

A leaked government memorandum shows Britain is considering scaling back its troop presence from 8,500 to 3,000 by the middle of 2006, saving nearly $1 billion annually.

The memo, marked "Secret — U.K. Eyes Only," and signed by Britain's Defense Secretary John Reid, also says there is a "strong U.S. military desire for significant force reductions."

"Emerging U.S. plans assume that 14 out of 18 provinces could be handed over to Iraqi control by early 2006," which would see the multinational force cut from 176,000 to 66,000."

You know, My views may not be popular, and things I believe in my not be acceptable to all.

But IF I say or post something, it will be based on facts of some sort.
I happen to tell the truth at all costs, even if what I say is unpopular, it will be the truth.
So please think about that next time, before you all start accusing me of lying or making things up.

Thanks

The three to four hour drive makes it sort of hard to play with you guys.  You really shouldn't get too pi$$y about that.  I've managed to put it together to make the superbowl of airsoft twice with the Arizona crew.

On the believability of this escape though...  Hey, sh!t happens.  Remember the "Texas Seven"?
