Don't be mad, just cause you can't move fast enough

Kidding.. only kidding.

I agree with you, but I try not to think that way. I've spent too much money into the sport just to think "bb war". I think of it as "practice".

Studdermonkey, I'm not mad, and I'm cool with the way you enjoy the challenge. Didn't mean to be taken any other way.

No one is trying to be in charge here. I was asked to organize USAC here in Arizona based on my background.

You have no airsoft background.  If you mean your military background, that is great - but it doesn't mean sh*t on the airsoft field unless you know how to integrate the two.

After you've been around awhile, and played in some games and a few large Ops like LC I will give a second though to your organization.

For example, I would follow Airsofter1 any day in an airsoft game!  Does he have alot of military experience?  Not really, but he knows his shit about airsoft.  When you're playing airsoft, that's all that matters.

I'm sure you will understand once you've been to a game.

Being an airsofter did not give me an advantage in training.  Likewise, being a soldier does nothing for my airsoft skills.  Sure, I know a few tactics and have more discipline, but BBs fly different than bullets do. if you know what I mean.

That said, I admire your gung-ho attitude about your new chosen hobby.  All you have to do now is come to some games! 8)

Sorry if this comes off as harsh, but I'm not about blowing smoke up people's a$$es when they ask for my opinion.  You of all people should appreciae that.

Damnit christian..you stole the words right out of my mouth..two of a kind are we in thought? Anyways, Something I was saying to Airsofter1 yesterday was, at LC its all about KICKING ASS! No matter how tired or how much you are hurting, you just keep going and don't bitch about it... I think we estimated running/walking a little over 30 miles at LC(dont know about that one)..but we sure did move alot especially when studder and myself hooked up with 02R (2nd plt recon element)...Although at times I was slowing down behind them...Nate even behind me..at other times I was encouraging Cag to keep going when he wasn't feeling so great...No I didn't yell at him or bitch...I helped him up, and I ran along side him until we got the pace going again..It's the sh*t like that in airsoft that makes it worth it, when you are getting your ass kicked and someone is there for you, whether a person or nature is doin the kickin! ;)

It also helps when, if an alfa is standing, gun down at a certain car and someone, and another certain someone just stare at him and say "is he in play?"

THEN YOU DIE!?

Okay enough bashing on Doc... he's new so lets cut him some slack.

Doc, show up to games, you'll see whats what, meet people (we're all very welcoming in person) you'll have a good time.  Like anything else experience comes with time, I had a lot of questions when I started, these guys were great in answering them.

Just show up, you'll have a good time, the longer you wait to attend a game the more you'll get a rep as a chairsofter, Mooncruiser, Flash just started attending games, ask them how they were received, both guys were great to skirmish with and will be a real asset to the airsoft community

My next point.

Even if I come across as a dick on the forums, I do my best to make the newer guys feel welcome.

Ask busta who was there to answer questions at the first game he came to.  Same with alot of these guys.  I just didn't want you to get the wrong impression before you made it out to an AA event.  Most of us aren't this obnoxious in person. :P

Yeah...What he said.. +1, I agree.. Yeah..thats exactly what I was going to say. ;)

Really though, whenever a new guy shows up at a game, Christian, Mikey and I are usually the first to go up and shake their hand or talk to them.. People tend to have a very different opinion about me after actually meeting me..

When the Sh1t hits the fan in airsoft, it's just a teeny plastic .bb being shot at you, hardly a tense situation, IMO.

Happies.
Chip

You havent played in very many AA games have you ;)

Yeah I know the Rds arent real and when you die you can regin,But I can tell you that the effort alot of the guys put in out on the feild you would know it was only a game!!!!!!!

At Serpant Hammer last year we got a praise from Seal Team 6 Commader(REAL SEALS) for takeing a Mountain(Not a pussy hill a Mountain). I didnt know it at the time but the commader had watched 4 of us from Arizona and 8 guys from Kali take this hill hand over hand It was so steep we had to crawl up it.

From what I was told He could believe the intensity level we showed

Playing WITH intensity does not equal intense.
I have played in many BIG GAMES (piantball) and can tell you I have played very hard, and have been in some highly charged situatuions.
Inso much as I did not want to get shot out and lose the game-it was intense, but the intensity value is low compared to real life close quarters combat, where you will not simply be shot out of a game-but rather you are locked into life and death reality, if you get shot, your pretty much gonna be one dead kemosabe!

So ya-its intense-its also very NON true to life/war/combat.

I play for fun and to be able to shoot the squids out!

Don't be mad, just cause you can't move fast enough

I agree with you, but I try not to think that way. I've spent too much money into the sport just to think "bb war". I think of it as "practice".

I gotta jump on this. I too am a big ol fatbody just like Mooncruiser.  But even though I do not run like the wind anymore, I play a decent game. When I wne to the pistol match, I had a very acceptable kill ratio. I have a couple games where I managed 4 kills--lets see 4 out of 8 is pretty good.

I move in my own ways, and so does Mooncruiser.
Being Slow, just means we have to be better shots!

So come on out to the next game, and try to shoot my big fat slow moving a$$!!

Lets not get overly confident with kill ratios, I was a the same game, I didn't see you get anybody so don't be calling out stats.  Great players never need to brag about kill #'s, its how you play, take chances and make opportunities for team mates (think TEAM, TEAM!!!)

you don't wanna be taunting Nate, he moves quick and shoots fast, he'll give you a REAL run for your money!
