That sounds awesome. This is what we've been needing, a Christian based airsofting team. I'm being serious to. I think I'm underaged for the team, but if you don't mind I'de love to hit you guys up on a skirmish.

Good job!

No problem.  A sense of pride and proffessionalism is what keeps the paintballer attitude away from our game.  ;)

Have you asked the people in those two pics on your website to use them?

Hmmm that one pic looks like Dave H from SWAIRTAC, the other like G.Hoff.

Good luck with the team!

You should ask first, and THEN put pics up.... Posting them in a topic is one thing, on a website is another.

Don't use any pic of me (not that I'm on there now), I'm already associated with a Team (SWAIRTAC) and don't want to be on a Christian web site.

I didn't think we had to worry about stealing pics betwee AA members. I guess I was wrong. But, I guess if you don't want YOUR pic, I got the point. I won't be wanting my pic up anywhere besides the forums.

Good luck with the team. Out of curiosity, why was the team made? To skirmish, to help hold games, to get a better feel for teamwork?

I guess some people dont want to be associated with a Christian airsoft team website.  For an extreme example, I personally wouldn't want to be associated with the KKK or Peta.  Thats ok, just ask the person if it is ok and they will let you know.   As a photographer, once upon a time, I would ask people if I could take their picture before I took it.  Some people believe that if their picture is taken, their soul is trapped forever in the photograph.

Certainly the bastards who hung him up on a cross.  (With non-lethal plastic BBs that is).

Hey, I wouldn't mind shooting the folks in this outfit though, if they call their hits.

Its called misappropriation of likeness for commercial purposes - its a common law tort cause of action that consists of the unauthorized use of a photograph or likeness of another for commercial purposes. IF there is no commercial purpose established there still might be an invasion of privacy tort cause of action UNLESS the photographs were taken in plain view where the person complaining has no reasonable expectation of privacy.

Additionally, it could be argued that association a persons photograph or likeness with a religion of any sort could lead to a defamation cause of action in per quod. Actual malice would have to be proven in this case under N.Y. Times v. Sullivan however.

However, once a photograph is taken, it vests copyrights in the taker and absent a license or transfer of right, any use can be a violation of either state or federal copyright infringement in its various forms.

The short version - jacking someone's pic is bad form and just aint right....
