Dennis, some of us don't want our image used to promote something, say for example a religious ideal or ad that we don't subscribe to.

I'd go easy taking pics of folks at a game without asking permission.. Some of these people are cops or active military and it is verboten with them.

Ask first.
Chip
I agree completely...Im ok with people I know well taking pics, Like War savage or AndyHinds because I know they aren't going to be fucktards and post them on another forum, or somewhere else or use them without atleast asking or letting me know...most of my pics are blurry and persec'd anyways..hehe

I really don't care about having pictures with me in them or ones that I took being posted on generic websites for activities that I am involved in.

However, your site is a team website, so most people will assume that the people pictured on your site are part of the team. Why would you want pictures of anyone that isn't part of the team on your site, anyway?

I suppose the biggest deal for me and most people is that you at least have the pictures labeled somehow. I would suggest getting express permission to just post pics up on the home page, and to only put team members on it, at that. You could then have a pictures section which could be devided into team pictures and generic AA pictures.

Anyways, you must ask people to use their photos, PERIOD.
It's against the law to do otherwise.

It is not against the law to post images anywhere to promote any religion unless the pictures are copyrighted. The only reason you would ask to use someone’s picture is common courtesy, which is a pretty good reason.

No, its not illegal to take someones picture and use it, have you ever heard of tabloids?  Cmptdewd is right though, I think you should ask permission out of courtesy, if your going to link the picture to something other than pure airsoft site.
