I got to see it last night with my brother and girlfriend. My brother did not like it.  Because he wanted to see a blood and gore war movie like Black Hawk down. This movie has less action than Three Kings. My girl friend did not like it because of the language, and the way Marines act.

Personaly I liked it. Make sure to see it with a crowed of people from 20-30 years old. Because, any younger no one will find it funny. You dont want to be the only one laughing your @$$ off. Dont know why I liked it so much I just do.

Looking here at about 3 1/2 Gregs 8)

I was going to see it, but I had work. Everyone went without me! I called my friend, the Mikey lookalike to see it with me, but she was in tuscon. So, I wasn't gonna see it alone. Screw that! I'll see it today.

I saw it last night. Not to thrilled. Some parts were far fetched, some parts real to life. Not a lot of action at all. Can't say I liked it, can't say I didn't. Jamie Foxx was probably the most entertaining part of the movie.

Scale of 1-10. I give it a 6.

I think that the only reason anyone is going to see this movie is because of the music in the trailer.  heheh.

Meh, a bit too reminiscent of the growing opinion that wars are pointless. I thought it realy showed the hard core side of soldiers who train and train and never get to do the cool shit that you see in the movies but I do not think that was the main point. Jamie fox was just trying a little too hard. This was a bit degrading to the iraqi troops (showing that the war was so fast that the troops did not even need to fire a single shot and still won in 4 days, not that I am defending but if I got my ass kicked like that i would not want a movie about it) and what they need is a movie from their point of view, kinda like that end of days hitler flick but with more high speed guys. I have not read the book but from the previews I thought this would be a black hawk down kinda flick but for desert storm, alas it was not. I do agree with the "fight the power" Public Enemy ending but would have liked to see more gunfire and less jerking off.

Again, I am sure to make lots of points with this, but it IS how I saw it.

Another typical Gen X film loaded with GEN X Tunes, and lots of blah........
RAP sucks and has no place in society, except for prisons.
This is NOTHING but a recuitment film, trying to swing in some braindead high school drop outs to sign up.

Waste your money elsewhere.

So you think that Rap belongs in prisons? I dont like rap. ( im a country guy myself) But how exactly can you throw a form of music in prison? Last thing I heard you cant throw sound waves into prison.

I read the book twice.

The movie was exactly what I expected.  I was however rather upset at the crowd for laughing at certain events that shouldn't have gotten a laugh.

I'd like to state that not one person gets killed in this film. Except for the dude who, under the emotional stress of Marine boot, can't handle lowcrawling, gets tuned in the helmet by his own dude.
