Yeah, it was a great time!

Pros of this OP:
-The site was extremely intricate, and the pyrotechnics were awesome.

What kinds of pyro and how were they used (I mean, was there any tactical reason, or just to create an atmosphere)?

There was all kinds, man.

Cars were on fire, buildings were on fire, when the helicopter was being shot down on Sunday, there was like, simulated flak, those fireworks that just flash a little but make a huge boom/concussion, all kinds.

It was awesome.

Cool. This just falls under one of my major topics of interests, so the more details you can give me the better 8) ! Someday, hopefully within the next few years, I hoped to be licensed to do close-proximity pyro. For now, I have to limit it to myself and my buddies :D . Did you happen to catch the company that set the effects up by chance?

Putting this non incident in perspective, as a couple of you have already, it is part of their job description. As mentioned in another forum I talked to the manager of the facility and she said we were ''quiet" compared to her other guests. She had no complaints. I also talked to an old guy, resident civilian, as we were walking off after the last game. He complained that he'd been shot "...forty times ....." and was in a bad mood. Forty sim rounds would have been a lot worse, I imagine, but who knows.

John Lu decided that the 1ST SGT stripes needed the LC pin in the center to designate the rank.  You will see me (and the stripes) at LC5 though....

Gotcha.  I figured it was something like that.

IMO, the 3/3 works just as well.  Then again, I am familiar with military rank structure and others may not be.  It was a quick solution that seemed to have worked.

Man, I hope I can get away from pre-Mob during M Day weekend!  With any luck, they'll give us a few days off, and I can just tell them I'm travelling to CA to see the sights!

I think he had a surplus of the 3/3 and used them for PLT SGTS (which would be an E6 or E7) as well as the 1SGT. Anyway, its just a job and while those big ass stripes look good in a shadow box, aint nothin but a thing...

good to meet you face to face by the way. Oh, thanks for moving that crap earlier... I should know better than to get sucked in but.... well....  I get it.

No, I'm talking about those Paris Hilton TRON Goggles you had on at the airport.   :P

But, how did those Wiley's work out for you?  I've heard good things, but no one I know has used them.
