SRC SR4 W/ Crane Battery Stock

I went on to Jungletoy.com and found the SoftAir DPMS A-15 Style Starter Pack for 149 a pop. I wanted to know if anyone had any experience with this rifle?

Since it's a plastic AEG, it might not be the greatest idea. The SRC, although it is plastic is supossed to be pretty decent. If you're gonna get an M4, just save up for an ICS, Marui, or CA. (I have an ICS and can vouch for it's quality).

Also, I know the SRC takes upgrades like a champion, but I'm not so sure about the DPMS.

The SRC is an exact copy of a Tokyo Marui M4, so it can use any upgrade parts for the M4 platform.

The DPMS is a POS toy.

I just purchased an SRC M4 with the Crane stock, I also have an SRC M4 with the regular Extendable stock, I enjoy the Crane stock much more it is more comfortable even my wife who is just not putting a toe into the Airsoft water perfers the Crane stock to the Other, it just feels better against the cheek, The Battery placement is a bit intresting though because it takes a bit more dexterity to get it placed correctly the first few times but once you get the hang of it, its a great weapon. I purchased the kit from JT I got the weapon an extra Mag, Battery, charger, Mask, and 3 point Tactical sling for about 240.00. Its great for a starter.

Its a good Starter Kit, cant go wrong, I got about 6-7 Full Mags through the battery that comes with the kit and The weapon is sturdy, My son has the Next step down M4A1 and His Mom, My wife likes both of them, the Full Auto Rocks and The Semi selection is just as cool a rush ;).

 Go to the JT on 35 th ave and Northern, they have everything you need.

I think the 8.4 battery the crane stock has just doesnt give a good enough rate of fire and tends to be really sensitive. (needs a complete charge to function)

The 9.6 battery is much better and has a much more rapid rate of fire.  I would go with the SRC and simply buy a crane stock sometime down the road to put on it.  It is much more comfortable but dont give up performance for comfort.  

I must say--I put metal bushings, an systema m120 spring and the src tightbore(their own halfassed version of a tightbore) and my gun is shooting excellent.

You can get a 9.6 battery that fits in the Crane stock.

Ya but im of the opinion that its a lot less of a hastle to not have to take off the stock completely when you need to put in or take out the battery.  We all have our preferences.  I do agree though that the  crane stock is very comfortable.  It provides a snug fit against the shoulder and a nice place to rest the cheek.

SRC kicks ass. They've fixed all (I think) the glitches. And, why not get an exact copy of Marui? They're one of the best.

And I have an ICS, I can vouch for its SHIT.

It's not much more of a hastle - you'll be taking the stock off less than if you were using the handguards because of the larger battery

I have had an SRC SR4 cranestock for about a month now. I think it is a great AEG platform, shoots hotter (320-330FPS) out of the box that a TM counterpart (260-285FPS)  And is completely upgradeable like the TM version.  So far I've put a 3x10x44 scope on it, a CA RAS rail foregrip kit to turn it into an SR-25, harris bipod, and a 6.03 longer tightbore barrel.  Mine looks almost nothing like the one I got out of the box now and it blasts away great, good rate of fire, the crane stock rocks.   About the only issue I've had with it,  as did a friend of mine who bought the same gun, is that we both had to open up the pistol grip handle and firmly insert the motor leads to get it to fire properly at full strength....it seems either shipping, or the SRC factory only marginally inserts them before packaging.  either way its an easy 5min fix.

I went ahead and ordered one online from JT. Question, can I go in and pick it up, or do I have to wait for it to ship? I really want to get it before OP Sandstorm.
