Few Q's about Flashlights
« on: November 07, 2005, 07:48:25 PM »
I am looking to buy a decent flashlight that will last a while for around 30$ with a touch activator.

I was looking at http://cgi.ebay.com/SWAT-FORCE-METAL-COMBAT-FLASHLIGHT-W-REMOTE-AIRSOFT-WOW_W0QQitemZ7194641794QQcategoryZ71083QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Seems like a great deal, and apparently is better than Surefire.

Any suggestions?

I was also wondering if I could effectively put a grip and a flash light on the grip rail on a Spetsnaz.  It looks like there is enough room, but I don't know if my hand would fit comfortably or if I would have to make some kind of akward adjustment.

-Thanks

+1 on the G2.

As for the grip and light on your Spet, you need something like a "Gangster Grip":

Also, if you want a membrane switch, get the Pelican unit.  It's 20 bucks and works fine.

Where would I go about finding a nice selection of these "ganster grips"?

I really like the end-cap button on those.. only have to move my thumb up to turn that baby on and it is back to grip action. =P

Whats the usual price range for a decent one?

I've only played with one, so I'm no expert...But the button on the back only keeps the light on for as long as you depress it.
Still, with that grip it wouldn't be difficult to keep it on.
If Surefire makes a light where the back is an on/off switch, I'm sure someone on here knows though.

AZSarge makes them.  Prices vary on flashlight and materials used.
