Aside from gay bashing and personal disputes....
San fran does not have the largest gay population(At least in '03 when a buddy of mine checked, it was Orlando) They're just out spoken there.
I say this, because I love California.
Anyhow, I don't love limitations on firearms.
I'm not a huge gun fan personally, truly the majority of guns people own they have no real need for them.
Spout all you want about being prepared and personal defense...I'm a little back and forth about hunting excuses even, most gun owners will never fire a round at a person in a situation where it was required to protect loss of life(And that's a good thing).
I in no way feel that those reasons should limit a persons ability to own one(Or twelve). There is tons of stuff people don't really NEED but are allowed to have...How about the guy with a gas chugging massive truck, but the bed is in pristine condition...Or McDonalds even.
Is there a problem with too many "bad people" having guns? Yeah, sure.
Is limiting the ability for the majority of people to own fire arms the solution? Well, it would prevent some shootings, but not nearly enough to justify it.
I think they should focus on tracking firearms, and tougher controls on the distributors and people who sell them.
Fun fact, California actually has a city named "Banning".
