*updated* Official AA Game - 10 Dec, 2005
« on: November 16, 2005, 06:43:52 PM »
0445 - arrive at Ba'Ja Conoco gas station.
0500 - depart for Four Peaks AO
0530 - Arrive AO / Gear Up, chrono
0545 - Event briefing, final chrono
0600 - Game begins

This will be the Official Airsoft Arizona Game for the month of December.

It will be based upon actual events in Afghanistan.

Location will likely be Four Peaks, due to the terrain, but that is not set in stone.

More to come, but be prepare to start playing early.  By early I mean pre-Dawn.

We will be using some new rules in this game that affect player deaths.

Teams are as follows:

US Forces - 3 color desert and Woodland

Afghan fighters - Neutral color Civilian clothes, Shemagh or Pakol if you have one.

No MultiCam, ACU, Tiger Stripe, DPM, Flektar, or other patterns allowed for the sake of realism.  Like I said before, this will be based upon actual events.

PM me with what uniforms you own (3C, Wood, or civ) and I will allocate players into teams.

This game is hopefully going to give some of you civilians a taste of whats it's like in the real world.

We'll be starting early, just as the mission the scenario is based on.

I'm asking everyone to keep an open mind for this one, and in return I'll make this the best damn game you didn't have to pay 110 bucks for.

It is based on the events that took place on Takur Ghar Mountain, Afghanistan in March of 2002 as part of Operation Anaconda.

No, I was not there.

As for the pre-dawn bit, I know that's early, but it will be challenging.  I thought it would be cool to start the game near the same time as the mission so you guys could see what it's like.

We'd get all the fun of a night game, but it would only last for an hour or so until dawn.

No matter what time it starts, I'll be out there hours before setting up props and clearing the field.  If anyone just wants to camp there - come out friday night and get a few hours of sleep - that could help.

You beat me to it....I was going to ask if anyone else was going to camp. Erin and I will be there in 3 color. We'll prolly show up Friday eve. so we can help ya set up. I was wondering if you saw the show on the Milt. channel about Robert's Ridge and if that was the idea for this game? Its a great show with good insite to what happened. We actually got to meet Capt. Nathan Self and hear him speak on the mission at the Weekend of Heros this last summer. Very imprssive actions by some of our Nation's best.

This does sound cool, however nothing beats the "fun" of midnight route recon missions.  :D

Will there be load outs? Like in ammo restrictions so that we can properly use saw gunners and not have a bunch of hicap wantabe saw gunners?
