I bought mine. My platoon sergeant said wearing my own stuff was a good to go. They wear their own stuff . I wouldn't have purchased it, if I wasn't allowed to wear it(I had several, much cheaper options).

That's cool.  What color did you get?

You could have also bought a RAV in ACU to blend in a bit better.

We don't have ACUs yet. So ACU was out of the question.

I got it in OD, to match current issue stuff. Only downside to wearing my on stuff is I gotta buy my own armor(except for plates). When we get ACU stuff, I'll switch to ACU colored gear. But for now, OD is best.

It wouldn't have fit you anyways and I sold it to a guy deploying to Afghanistan tomorrow.

Ouch.  BALCS equivalent armor isn't cheap, though I suppose you could get yourself some panels cut to the BALCS size in a lower cost material.

lol, they call my type the "farva-cooter whore" - I got more money in my supercharged 383 stroker than I do in the rest of the whole car - AND I use the car to transport my newly bought gear to games..
