I think that I am somewhere in the mix of three - the farva - cause I wanted to serve in the military and regret not serving so I try to pretend I am super army guy when I play airsoft..
the gear whore - cause I have 4 sets of gear..# 1 - black swat with black tac vest and accessories complete with MP5 and helmet..  #2 woodland with an OD weesatch and od pads and helmet cover w/my m4.. #3 old school 7 color BDU and LBV with my m-16 A2 and helmet.. and now the # 4th - 3 color tan with coyote brown /OD  accessories and my LR300..

and the gun whore: - I have like 6 or 7 good quality AEG's and have almost owned 20-25 AEG's (i get bored with them after a while) and I want more..

The gear has to be cool to qualify for being a gearwhore, Ivan. :D

Does a Paraclete RAV loaded with Paraclete pouches, a Dynamic Designs LT platform, and an Eagle RRV with CT pouches make me a gear whore?  Oh, I also have 2 MICH replicas, one of them with a PVS14 mounted.

I'm not much of a Gun Whore, I only have a Classic Army SAW with RAS M4 stock Aimpoint and ANPEQ2, and a Mk18 CQBR with the same acessories.

I guess what I'm getting at here, is it more important to have quantity, or quality? 8)

I know you're not getting issued a CIRAS, and I KNOW you're not going to buy one "for work" to use for airsoft, right, Ian?

I tried that, but afterall, real world needs are different than those on a MilSim field.  Now, if you can convince your CO that releaseable kits save lives, you might have s shot.

I bought mine. My platoon sergeant said wearing my own stuff was a good to go. They wear their own stuff :). I wouldn't have purchased it, if I wasn't allowed to wear it(I had several, much cheaper options).
