Classic Army G36C VS Tokyo Marui SIG 552 Seals
« on: December 15, 2005, 12:10:08 PM »
Hey everyone, Happy Holidays!  Just a quick question to those who either have these guns or who know more about them then I do.  Which one is the better of the two in terms of quality, power, and overall just a better gun.  They look very similar to me but the CA G36C seems to have better materials IE the gear box has more metal then the Tokyo Marui Sig gun.  Let me know what you guys think.  In terms of price I can get each one for about $300 so that doesn’t matter, I just want one that wont poop out on me after a short time using it, and I want the one that will pack more of a punch.  I know the CA one has a higher round mag so that is a plus.

Over all the same. CAs has pre upgraded gearbox and parts, where TM shoots 280 & CA at 300-330 FPS. TM has reputation and greatest of quality control. Both take same batt. size, gearbox, same style hopup (not exact same)The Biggest difference besides looks is, working on the gun. About 85% easier to work on G36. Both have restricted (internal) batt. space for some upgrades. CA is also a heavier reinforced plastic. This may seem to start looking one sided, but go with what look you like and you'll be a lot happier. Remember you can almost do anything with any AEG, it just might take a little more time, or money, or both!

I have the CA G36C and I love it!

Folding stock = easier in CQB

The gearbox is stout and sturdy. I've put well over 10,000 rounds through mine, with not one single hiccup.

Nice, I would love both...I will have to see if JungleToy might have them to see which feels better in my hands.  That might be the selling point.

If you're going to be at the game on the 17th, I'll have my CA G36C with me in case you wanted to check it out.

I have never been to an airsoft game, I moved here over the summer.  Where is it at?

How much do you want for your TM gun??

I checked the specs of both guns and the CA weighs in at 6 pounds, the TM 552 is 12 pounds!?  Is that right??

Weight

Hmmm, judging by that response I am guessing that might be the over all shipping weight.  :D  Ah, I found one that might be right:

Tokyo Marui SIG 552 Seals     4.8 pounds
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000ARF7SI/sr=1-6/qid=1134753258/ref=sr_1_6/104-1766950-2579166?%5Fencoding=UTF8&n=3375301&s=sporting-goods&v=glance

Classic Army G36C                6 pounds

I am looking to go through Amazon to get one...if I can scroung up the $$...let me know if you guys think these are good prices:

well, personally i like the sig better than the g36c. but no one really wants to do work on a sig. then again, not many people have a sig so i guess you could 'stand out' if you personalized it. but the g36c has really solid construction. to me its a coin toss. you should just get an ak.  :D

upgrades
« Reply #13 on: December 16, 2005, 09:18:11 PM »
I havent really found anything for either of them.  Do you guys know if there are any upgrades to make it more powerful??  I dont own an AEG yet I only have a couple of GBB pistols, but I have heard that but getting better springs you can increase the power quite a bit.  I am guessing that the CA one has a better motor so that should increase the power as compaired to the Marui G36C right?

define "more powerful" for us. More hitting capacity? more range? all of the above? well do a search and find all the hundreds of threads talking about upgrading.
