Your 28, I think you can handle some " bad words". Rubber grenade are great for this though..... because they are re-usable...But...When they hit you on the head..OUCH.

I know I can handle it, but it really is not appropriate.  :)    I think you have to see one to see why they're much better than rubber grenades.

2nd Test
« Reply #17 on: December 24, 2005, 10:33:38 PM »
I just tested the second grenade with .12g BBs and only filled halfway.  I video taped the results and will be posting soon.  Let's just say that my entire garage area would be considered a kill zone.  That's a two car carage!!!  These things are awesome.  I should have the video up in a hour!!!

If they can make them reusable or dirt cheap I think they would take off.

I have an Escort M26A1 Gas Grenade. It works pretty well and they are reusable. I havent had much chance to use it as it costs $50 and they are kind of heavy to be throwing them in the field.  I would only use it for CQB and you know that happens a lot around here.

Come one, come all

Here is a link to the video!  You can either download it or stream it.  It might take a while for it to come up when you stream it.  The video has a real time portion and then a slow-speed version.  The noise and sounds on both are real!

Enjoy!!!

That is pretty awesome. It sounds like it works rather well. It gives you the nice pop, and you can hear the bbs spraying the room. It would work well in a small city environment similar to what we encountered at RSD, or something like Southwest Paintball.

That's really impresive, John!

I might pick up some of these.

The drawbacks are the preparation time, long delay before detonation, and inconsistent "fuze" delay.  You could throw it in a bush, and the dudes could run away before it blows.

I like just pulling the pin and throwing it!

Because it would decrease the ammount of people we have to shoot at.

We could just try to use them against the people that don't matter as much though....

From the moment I pushed the top in to the time it exploded was 9 seconds on both attempts.  For some reason this one was not as airtight, but it still blew up pretty good.  From the time I shook it to the time I dropped it was about 4 1/2 to 5 seconds.  You can time it pretty well if you throw it right after shaking it.

have you gotten hit with any of the bb's yet? I wonder what would happen if it was still in your hand when it blew up?

Somebody on another forum posted about this and said that it wasn't so bad, no injuries or such.  Basically he had lemony taste in his mouth and hand.  That's it.
