How do I tell which version gearbox for G36C?

I am looking to buy a version III Marui Gearbox for a G36C.  The only problem is that I don't know the difference between a version II and a version III gearbox.  Can somebody please explain the differences in the two gearboxes to me?  Can you tell by a picture what version a gearbox is? I am looking at the following gearbox: http://www.airsoftshop.com/airsoftshop/ ... fd6da85fc4 and I am curious to see what version it is.  If this is not a version III box, can anybody provide links where I can buy a version III Marui G36C gearbox?  Thanks.

Well, it definately doesn't look like the V2 gearbox in my M4

Well, The version three has a little plate on top. It slides off. That is how you know which one you are dealing with. Also on the Version 3 the motor screw onto the gearbox.

I'm not quite sure what you mean.  Do you think airsoftshop mismarked that item?  All TM G36's should use Version 3 gearboxes.  So unless airsoftshop  goofed, that is a version 3 gearbox.

On a side note, thanks for that link. I've been looking for TM gearboxs, and didn't know that they sold them.

I'm looking at the one you posted the link to, and ...it looks corect, save one thing.  The V3 has a "cage" assembly that mounts the motor to the V3.  What's shown in the picture at WGC looks like the top half of that cage removed to show the motor.  Certainly a V3 they're selling, just confused why they don't have the motor mounting fully assembled.  If you need, I can post a few pics of my AUG V3 for reference.

I wish I could find the thread, alas...I suck.
But someone had posted pictures and even a list of which current guns held a v2 or v3 box in them.

I'll try looking a little more and post the link if I find it, but unfortunately..Gearbox returns quite a few hits.

That list in the other link is wrong.  Mp5's use a version 2 gearbox, with the exception of the Mp5k, which is a v3..
