Do you think arguing with the group that you're trying to integrate with is going to help your cause? If it was said that you're too young, that's the end of it. Find a group of people willing to play with your age group and organize your own event on public land, outside of city limits. I for one have too much to lose to be held liable for injuries you might incure, and I'm definitely not the only adult here that feels this way. Don't make such a big deal about it, just find others willing to accept you on the field. Stay and ask questions here on the forums, and learn all that you can about the hobby so when you are eligible to play, you'll be ahead of the curve.
Even im not an adult yet and I feel the same way.

I saw you guys out there. You looked like you were ready for action. But some ground rules have to be set and enforced, otherwise airsoft is no better than it's "sister" sport paintball.

Honor and integrity means upholding the rules that have been set. Breaking them would be a contradiction to what airsoft is all about.

I saw you guys there.  You were told beforhand, PERSONALLY, that you would not be allowed to play.  But you came anyway, and got all butthurt when you were told you could not play, knowing full well thats what was going to happen.
Wait a few years, read up on here, get to know the way things work, and in no time you will be 16 and able to play with us all.

You guys are like, suck.

It would be one thing if you hadn't asked prior to going (did you forget to tell pops that?), but you lied and tried to deceive Taz, one of the most honest and honorable airsofters in this organization (not to mention prudent judging by the actions he took today to prevent harm from coming to any of us playing today) who had just a few days prior informed you you were too young.

To inform you of the severity of this issue, I am pulled over RIGHT NOW on the SR-51 to peck this out on my phone because you guys are so fuckin' stupid.

Ugh.

Its not only the under age person getting hurt, but what if an underage person shoots a hiker, or somebody not involved in the game.  Its more likely that the organizer will get the law suit.

Bottom line, there have been many posts like this in the past concerning under age players, organizers can set the age limits at 18, or 48 (which means only Woody would play) but its THEIR decision, not mine, not yours, not your parents.

Taz, I think you did the right thing 100% you made a rule, you published it clearly, and you enforced it.  Its guys like you that keep the sport safe.  Once you bend on one rule, all safety has gone out the window.

Even though we've had this discussion a billion times before....like Andy said.  It's all cool till I shoot out one of your teeth then your mom slaps me with the bill.  Minors can't be put into situations by adults where they might be hurt.  Period.  The adults would be liable and responsible.  Nothing personal.

My freind and I showed up in full gear with our CAs, LBVs and everything at an airsoft game. When we were there many people liked the idea of us playing, and no one said anything about the idea of two 14 year olds  playing with them, when we went to chrono our guns we were kicked of the feild which wasnt even owned by anyone and some people were pissed. the person that kicked us out said that most people thought we would be hurt by the airsoft guns... we know that we might get a little dazed, thats why we got into this great sport we wont go uh your dead you meanie. I went through four years of millitary school  I believe that I can take a Small plastic BB going 300 feet per second.

The rules were very clear on the age limit. I stand by the decision I made not to allow you and your friend to play, and I will do the same at any game I host. The fact that you thought your dad could make me let you play is insane. This isn't TEE-BALL.

Wait wait wait....I wasn't there at the game today(I accidentally slept through it), so did this kid show up expecting to play? This is certainly not a good way for people to even want to help you, if this is the case. 4 years of military school isn't going to save Taz from getting sued. Good laugh  .

Sorry to say Dude, I think your dad may have just cost you the ability to play at the AA games.

It's one thing to try circumventing the rules; but it's a completely different thing to "tell your dad" on the organizer for enforcing the rules which were well-published beforehand.

Now, I'm all for kids 14+ enjoying this fine sport, as long as they can handle themselves maturely and don't cause much guff to the organizers. One fine example is chainsaw, who acts MORE adult on the field than some of the actual adults who play out there. He's a prime example of why I think kids are capable of airsofting without issue.

But you siccing your dad on the organizer, or your dad siccing himself on the organizer, whichever it may be (personally to me it doesn't matter), screams trouble-waiting-to-happen. This will make you stick out like a sore thumb to any organizer. You just made yourself the posterboy for the argument that kids should NOT play airsoft.

All in all, next time (if there even IS a next time) follow the rules. If it says 16+, and you aren't 16 yet, don't show. This is not some sort of government-run peewee football team, we don't HAVE to let you play.

BIG kudos to taz for sticking to his rules, even in the face of a parent who was trying to persuade him.
