hmm... damn... well.. im stuck with this ak for now then.  im planning on buying a real ak next month, and i can buy a real ak for the same price as an airsoft.  ill buy another later on... if the offer is still on the table, i might take it... but later...

thx for the feedback and advice....

well, would there be any other upgrade available for the ak i have that may improve it's power? like maybe a stronger spring?  like, an upgrade that wouldnt damage the gun quickly (cuz upgrades do decrease a gun's life)...

Well, upgrades decrease the gun's life if not done correctly. This AK Beta with just the spring, bushings, and gears upgraded has been churning strong since Lion Claws IV, and went to both Lion Claws IV and Irene III. You might be able to put a spring in yours to increase it's power but like, I think that might crack the gearbox really quick.

Silent Dragon, since I go to Glendale on a regular basis, I'm more than happy to stop by and help you put the stuff in your gun, when you do decide to do a legit AK.

Ganef, you're right - there are other considerations, but this has been done by others and there are posts on other forums to back that up.  Since SilentDragon already has the piece now his choices are to upgrade it or use it stock.  To upgrade you have to find the parts and that's a problem.  Don't know exactly why but it is.

Edit - Oops, sorry guys I didn't see the 2nd page of posts til I sent this.  Looks like the issue is settled.

Cool Firehead.  But now, i dont know if i want to upgrade the gun i have because of parts and costs.  If im better off with buying a new already upgraded AK, then i might as well keep this one stock.  But i was told that it is upgradable and can take marui upgrade parts.  This is why i bought the $75 AK... so i could have one now, and upgrade it later, or save up and buy little by little.  I figured, "Hey... why not buy this now (since it's cheap), and upgrade it and make it better later." And hopefully, the upgrades would be worth it... paying about $100~$150 in upgrades (to make at as powerful as a high-end) would be cheaper than paying $250~$300.  Well, i really i wanted to upgrade this AK... and if i couldn't find a complete mechbox to drop in it, then buy the mechbox parts little by little, so that everything (or most parts) within the gearbox would all be high performance, too...
i would like to do some upgrades, but i need help...

should i proceed with upgrades to this gun...?  or just save up and buy a better one a couple of months down the road and stick with this one stock until then...?
