Think about talking to JT and seeing if thy'd be interested in opening up a new store/arena.

Don't worry about it, if you have thought of it, trust me they have too.

Heh, noted about the BDU's. I think you guys play in a national forest somewhere in Scottsdale? I haven't got the transport to venture too far out from Tempe but I can make it to Scottsdale. I'll look into it for the next game.

Really, I'm a future gear whore in the making. If the opportunity arises I will be spending a buttload on gear. If I even had a backyard, I would have snapped up at least a UTG/Cyma Mp5 and a GBB by now gah.

Well anyway enough thread derailing, I'll save the rest for an introduction post

Forget investors, just find some people to cover the cost.  If you look at it from a financial point of view, its a lot of risk for little reward.

These guys are renting out a warehouse this coming May, a game every Sat. for the month.

These guys have made it work for a little while now:

http://www.airsoftcqb.com/

Give them a call. As others mentioned they also cater to the LE & Military customers. They have a nice staging room and the whole place is monitored by video cameras. The video cameras would allow you to have a whole add on sale option for LE customers, corporate events, birthday parties etc. As others mentioned IMHO if you want this to fly it would need to be in the Phoenix Area. If in the Tucson area I don’t see this having the consistent cash flow and longevity to provide you with a decent ROI.

Yeah...don't make it in Tucson. :/

Not enough money there to keep it afloat.

You'll have better luck if you make it easy for the Pheonix crowd.

I count 7 folks in the Phoenix photo and... 13? in the Tucson one.

Exactly what was the point? You guys are more mil-sim? You wear backpacks (which will be awesome in CQB...)? I mean, really. We respect you guys up there and what you do, I don't see why you guys feel the serious urge to diss our stuff down here at every opportunity. It's fairly unsportsman-like, imho.

This post will probably get deleted due to having a valid point in it, but that's beside my point. I don't see the need for all the latent hostility between Tucson and Phoenix airsofters, and it's shit like this that perpetuates it. We all need to get above it and just enjoy the sport. I've never treated anyone from Phoenix with less than an extreme amount of respect, and just once I'd like to see the favor returned.

Thanks! You Roosevelt players are awesome as well!

And the Phoenix people are always at the top of their game, and I admit it. Things are a-changin down here though. New faces, new teams, new tactics. Always in motion, the future is.

So anyhow, if you were to open an indoor arena in either city, i can dare say you would have a large following of local players no matter how "high-speed" or "legit" they are.  Because frankly, they're all going to be paying the same price for admission in the end.

I really don't care where you build it becuase no matter what.... "if you build it, they will come"

Anyway, to get back on topic...  Warlock, I think the point that some are trying to make is that there is more of a base in the Phoenix area to open an indoor airsoft field.  Phoenix is just bigger.  I think what C-bone was trying to say from those two pics in a very blunt like way, was that most players in the Phoenix area spend more on airsoft than down in the Tucson.  I don't think anyone is trying to knock "you guys down there" or anyone anywhere else for that matter.  Its just the way the demographic is.

Yes, airsoft is growing in Tucson.  Its growing in general all over the state.  You guys have a lot of pride down there.  Keep doing what you are doing, and airsoft will be what it will be.  The short of it is, you are doing good things.  Organize games - just shoot'em ups, or some serious milsim.  Keep everyone safe, and encourage honor, sportsmanship, and integrity.

Isn't it obvious?  That the Phoenix guys are more fashion conscious.  Check out the daring and striking blend of multi-cam, woodland, and coyote tan.  And how about the matching backpacks, huh?

The point is that we play dress up better than you guys do. ;)

Seriously, I've played down in Tucson several times now, and every single time I've been impressed by how cool you guys were, especially to a new guy in the game.  Sure, you have a different style of play, but who gives a shit, your games are a blast.

Faber, I would say though, you'd probably want to stay away from Tucson and look at warehouses in the Phoenix area.  Nothing against Tucson, it's simply that there are better opportunities here.  First, the number of airsofters.  Second, if you're looking for a connection to LE, think about how many agencies are in the Tucson area.  Tucson PD, the Sherrif's office, maybe Border Patrol (doubt they'd be interested, though).  In Phoenix, you've got the PDs of Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale, Glendale, Mesa, Chandler, etc etc.  And most of those have larger budgets than Tucson organizations would have.

Of course, that's not to say I wouldn't have to migrate down to Tucson every couple of weekends to get my fix if you did open up there...
