Anyone in the tire business?
« on: February 27, 2006, 12:32:22 PM »
Looking to replace OEM tires with something with more of an aggressive tread.  Had a good experience at a local shop?  Let me know.
Thanks,
Sin

SINJIN, try this;

http://www.azvjc.org

Look under "Classifieds" They have a lot of tire/wheel sales going on there all the time, and not just for Jeeps, either.

Rod, I dont know who or where cause I deal with wholesalers but if I had to buy another set for my tahoe( I just bought ProComp Xterrain Tires)

I would look at
BFG mudders ot AT
Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Tires
 ProComp Xterrain Tires
or you can do the
bogger in 44

These are for his Land Rover, and I would be thinking he's trying to put an aggressive tire on there while still retaining a nice, quiet, smooth ride. I vote MT/Rs. They're what I got.

Yep guys these would be for the LR.  Tough thing is they are on an 18 inch wheel wich sort of limits my choices.  But  I am thinking about these..

Nitto Terra Grappler AT 255/55R-18

Down the road, will get 35's for the Jeep, probably Super Swamper TSL's.  Thanks for your help guys!

If they sold the BFG AT's in the correct size I would go with those hand's down.  Great all around tire.  Ohh and yeah, Super Swamper Boggers rule.

Don't ask Christian shit about tires. He doesn't know how they work off the road, obviously.

Oh, no, I know that (we had this discussion on Saturday) but he obviously wasn't paying attention as he's become stuck since.

On a somewhat related note, can anyone recommend a place that does auto window tinting?
