Redid my RPK...
« on: April 08, 2006, 10:11:54 PM »
Yeah, it's still not working *nudges paul*, but that should be fixed soon enough :D

Yes vincent, I'm sorry I painted it brown, this was the colour I wanted it originally but was too lazy to sand down and redo before:

I modified the front a bit, fixed the inner barrel issues, added the King Arms RAS, and gave it a rubberized texture.  Painted the receiver again, and did then sanded down the stock, dinged it up a lot, stained, and sealed it.  Also had to hack away at the mounting point on the stock so it'd fit flush with the receiver.

Ohh, also fixed the hopup, now it works :D

Heres how it looked before:

Notice the different angle it sat at, the choppy handguard, and if you can see, there was the excess of JB weld all over it too :D

Looks Nice, you planning to stay mag driven or go with a drum?

I have a Drum on order, but it's for display mainly.  I use 30rd mags :D

My original plan was to make my own drum mag using a midcap and a real steel drum mag, but I got too lazy haha.

This RPK back in its early days was the first AEG I ever used :)

That is so sick! i'm a big LMG guy, or just big guns in general, i've tried to make an RPK but too much for me, did you do it from scratch or did you buy a kit or what? but that is really beautiful

Scratch.  I had the outer & inner barrel and dejam rod made for me, and had to hack down a few other things.  Cut the stock myself, had Vincent bore it out for me, and he did some stuff, did a beautiful finish on it, but it wasn't what I wanted, so after a couple months, it's redone :D
