My Polar Star Build is near completion. I tested it out at the Fightertown Fund Raiser Night Game. Worked Great!

I spent several months slowly building this rifle. Countless hours designing the custom parts. Had to do a fair amount of modification to the receiver to make everything fit and run my wires to the buffer tube. I think it all paid off though.

Madbull JP Industries Receiver
Madbull JP Industries 9.8" Handguard w/ Barrel
Madbull JP Industries Upper x 2
Madbull Novesker CQB Outer Barrel
Madbull Daniel Defense 7" RIS
Magpull PTS Ergo F93 Buttstock
Magpull PTS AFG2
Polarstar Fusion Engine
Redline Grip Connect
9" Foam Filled Silencer (bought from Redwolf quite some time ago)

The FCU and Battery fit in the Buffer Tube:
Custom Built Buffer Tube Cap (Original needs a screwdriver or coin to install/remove):
Custom Built Continuous Upper Rail:
Custom Built Buttstock Spacer (to create smooth transition between body and buttstock):
1/8" 90 Swivel Fitting runs hose parallel to receiver, and allows hose to swing left and right. Keeps hose from kinking or getting in the way when laying gun on Bipod:

2 Uppers, same lower.    /\ AK length Barrel       \/ M4 Length Barrel

I still need to do a little bit of work to the insides of both Uppers to allow the imitation bolt to slide smoothly. Apparently Madbull felt that a "bolt" was not necessary with this upper, seeing as how the charging handle does not even have the required catches to grab the "bolt".

Can anybody tell me what the pen (or shotgun shell, or .50 BMG round, or whatever) through the trigger guard to take a photo of a pistol does?  I've taken plenty of photos of pistols and never felt like I needed to put something through the trigger guard.  It seems like something people do because they've seen other people do it without knowing why they do it.  (Like revving your engine before turning it off)

EDIT - No offense intended to Note, I was just reminded by seeing your photo.  That seems like a great deal on a gun that is reasonably hard to find.

None taken. I see what you're saying, the only reason I do it is because I like the angle and I can never get the gun to stand up on its own.

Most of the time a round is used just for aesthetics, it's simply angles for photographers. Most use clear plastic though. Then you have the Pro's that use Perm Markers!

There are many of us who were friends with Ron, and remember as far back as the Game on, and then Jungletoy days.
Occasionally he would drag out this ratty box, and say ,"You know, I'm gonna build this CAR for the next game."
Invariably, the box would disappear, and we wouldn't see the CAR-15. Later on it changed boxes, but still did not seem to end up as a complete gun.
Well I ended up with it, and I finished it.

I present Ron's (Nil8r) Marui CAR-15.

I will post better pics soon.

As I was sitting on my back patio last night with the CAR in one hand and a DAMN fine cigar in the other, I couldn't help but realize how much I miss my friend............

im right here with you paul. I think of him every time I play around with the prime lr300 that I got right before he passed and I fondle it at least once a day. its good to see that that car finaly got built. it looks good. I finaly build a short gun for myself. I think I get pics posted up here somewhere
never underestimate the things you dont know.
P90 is no longer the b***h gun!
