And I know that black does appear in nature
NATblackURE- He's right.
-------
- I have a black AK-74, and although it looks pretty great the way it is, I'd love a nice dark red wood kit on it 'cause the metal parts get HOT after only an hour (and I wear gloves and a full-sleeve Urban Camo (yeah,
Urban) shirt), and I'd never paint it any other color because of the maintenance and money involved.
- Camo on guns, I believe, isn't something that is essential. It's more for the look, if anything. Suppose you're in the desert wearing desert camo and you're crouching on the ground trying to avoid contact with the enemy. Do you honestly think that the enemy will spot a tiny splinter of the black of your gun if he glances in your general direction for a moment? Most likely not, if you take into account how your eye likes to blend everything you see together; the textures of the dirt, the colored rocks, and the local vegetation should help. (this obviously wouldn't work if the guy was two feet in front of you, but if you're AVOIDING contact you'd know better than to get into that kinda situation).
A lot of the guys on here do a great job, like Ganef's gun up top ...
- And, yeah, Ganef's gun is schweet. For some odd reason I don't oppose camo on a sniper whatsoever.
