The VFC m82a1 mid-term usualy shoots around 460-500fps with 8mm .34g bb's.
It shoots ~370 fps w/ .48g with HFC134 gas.  Plus, I'm getting a custom Escort blowback system and adjustable FPS regulator put in.

so where is he going to use it?  that is higher then any field fps rules.  including best of usa correct?  plus i heard the hop up doesnt even work on yours.
Let me guess, pilz told you that?  Guess what, what you hear isn't always true!  And I have yet to hear an fps limit for a sniper rifle using 8mm bb's anywhere in AZ.

So, you think that that entitles you to make it shoot as fast as you want? I can assure you, the 8mm BB will shoot no faster than a 6mm at 500 FPS. (At least at AZ games)

No.  Brandon said that it shoots higher than any field FPS limit, and I have never heard any for AZ fields.  And it's WAY under Best of USA events limits.

Here is a quick and dirty FPS conversion:

8mm .48g BB = 370fps = 3.04 joules

Converted to a .20g BB weight, the new readings will be 571.89fps, which far excedes current local (and national BofUSA event) limits.

Regardless of what FPS it's shooting at, I doubt it'll be much of an issue because I don't think we'll see you humping around a 20lb. rifle in the field all day.

Thats just a little too fast, I don't see any reason to have a airsoft rifle shooting that hot unless you have no feild limit, or you use it for target practice in your backyard. I would carry around a 20lb rifle all day if its all I had, but then again thats me and not everyone would do that.

Using .34g (8mm) BBs: OK < 448 fps Caution 448 - 460 fps NO GO > 460 fps

Power comes in the form of HFC134a gas (good for 290-310fps using 0.34g 8mm BBs

And 2 things:  Of course I won't be slumping it around all day.  It's meant to be in one position, not carried around like an assault rifle.  And you will never see me use it, because I don't play with you guys.
