with a drop leg, you can crawl

with it in the vest, I wouldn't crawl, dirt in a gbb sucks.

Just my opinion.

Drop leg, looks cooler.  If the vest was better, spec. forces would use vests instead of leg holsters

Hahaha....Andy...

Don't get a vest with a built in holster. If you ever decide you want to use your pistol, without wanting to wear the vest, you won't be able to(you won't have extra mags, or a place to store the pistol when you don't want to have it in hand. I used a pistol during the prescott game while I helped be an A-gunner on a SAW, so I threw it in my holster while I helped him.)

If you want to get off on a good foot with a nice holster, not a shitty one, get a Safariland 6004 for the model of your choice. Its a semi-expensive piece(probably worth the pistol you will be packin') at roughly $90-$100 for the holster(it is a drop-leg, by the way). But, you'll never buy another holster becuase you'll be in love with this one(unless you buy a different pistol).

well you could get a vest and a leg platform so you could move the holster from vest to leg if needed and vis versa but thats if you gonna drop some  money into something with MOLLE and what not.

I carry my pistol on my vest. I have it a little higher than normal so dirt has never been a problem for me. The drop leg, for me has also never been very comfortable.

Yeah, i use a drop-leg, too.  It's kinda like, the holster has to be on just right.  Too loose, and it will try spinning around your leg as you run.  This may slow you down a bit, and knocking it around may cause some concern.  Too tight, and it just don't feel confortable at all.  I would suggest attaching it to either your vest, or a tactical belt, cuz a GBB with some good weight will pull your pants down if you just put it on a normal belt.  After getting used to, the holster does what it is supposed to do.  The spare mag pouch that is built on the side of mine helps a little bit.  But if you are in a firefight and run out of ammo in your current mag, you will need to stop just to be able to retrieve the other mag, which can get irritating.  I'm a right handed shooter, and when you're trying to reach for another mag that is on your right leg, and can only grab it with your right hand... then now you have to switch hands to grab it!  Crawling is easy to do with a drop-leg.  I like to go prone myself, and it doesn't bother me.  In fact, while laying prone... it's easy to reach back and pull the sidearm from your leg to guard your 6 (if you have an AEG, it may be hard to turn around quickly enough when prone).  There are Pro's and Con's to everything in life.  Here's my perspective on the drop-leg, if it helps.  It also looks very cool... 8)
