What's a good tokyo marui M4 set up?

Got a Marui M4 but not sure what to do? It has systema super torque up gears, but original Marui gearbox, should I go with M100? M120, or would that be to strong? What would you do? Any ideas would help, by the way I also have a systema bore up kit, I could always throw that in there also, or should I?

An m120 spring is a common upgrade. Your gun should be able to handle it without modification, it will wear out slightly faster, but the gun will do that anyways.

Alot of people seem to be going with prometheus (sp?) 6.03mm tight bore barrels too.

What kind of battery do you have? Unless you have a powerful battery the Bore Up kit wont be too helpful from what i have heard. You will probably want to get a 9.6 volt battery if you throw the bore up in there.

After all that, you should have a pretty sweet gun. I havent upgraded anything of mine yet, im just kinda reposting what i see/hear on the forums. I plan to do some of the same stuff i just listed though. (the 6.03 tigh bore barrel and m120 spring specifically)

Metal body is a must, the plastic sucks... other than that your good to go. It really depends on what you mean by "good set up" you could put on a scope, tighbore, silencer, laser. Anything could be "good" depends on your style and types of games you play. But standard for a marui gun would be a metal body, M120, and a tighbore.

Uhh...no. Your a little off on that.

The most common and basic upgrades are the 120 spring. Forget about the Bore up kit all together (pointless). You need a very strong spring to pressurize the cylinder enough for it to be effective. 9.6V battery, 6.04 tight bore barrel and metal bushing. Then comes the other stuff. Teflon coated cylinder, silent piston head and cylinder head, metal spring guide with ball bearings.

If you want something already to go out of the box? Get a CA CQB. It already has most of this installed from the factory, minus the tight bore barrel and 9.6V battery (comes with a 110 spring). At the store I purshased it from. Out of the box it chronoed @ 340fps with .20's and 300fps with .25's. After putting in a 6.04 barrel, Systema silent piston head and resealing everything. At LCV, 5 out of 7 shots it chronoed 339fps with .25's consistantly.

I agree, AEX sells it for about $400 i think. And if you put an M120 in it, it will be up to around 385ish FPS and like war savage said it already comes with metal bushings etc. so it can easily handle an M120 withought further mods.

They didn't skip your post they are talking about how the CA CQB is a good gun out of the box and recomending it to M4J.

Your right FISH. He already has a gun and I addressed what I recommend and what the common upgrades are. But I also recommended an AEG that is ready to go out of the box.  ;)

I never said the bore up kit was a common upgrade. I said the tight bore and the m120 were. I mentioned the bore up kit because he said he had one to spare.

Also, what are the advantages of a 6.04mm over a 6.03mm. I see people going with either or, but i always thought tigheter was better. What made you chose 6.04 isntead of 6.03

From what I have herd the 6.03mm barrels are more prone to jamming problems than the 6.04mm.

The FPS may be slightly higher but the accuracy change may not be very noticeable.
