not if he was careless in blending the mask photoshop would still show.... i doubt tape was used at all... especially considering the source where I got the image from

no I don't admit to it - I know how to do it as it cant be tape - tape would react to camera flash differently then painted metal.

There's no camera flash in that picture.  There's direct light coming from the left side of the image though.  A flash would leave the gun looking too shiny which this one is not.  I've taken enough pictures of my guns to realize that.

now I enlarged the image - you can clearly see it was photochopped - Not tape HA! I win
